Some orgs have been told layoffs are done.
I've seen "Tech Activation Touch Base" still being used for both for reorg meetings. Poor taste reusing that meeting title for both information and layoffs. Way to send an employee into panic.

@ag but when you get the all clear one day and then the same email subjec5 as thr layoffs the next day, its just cruel

@ae yeah just an update, more likely your role stays the same or reporting to new team members. Happened to me the last round and it pssed me off.
@af my title has changed 3 times and I wasn't notified for any of them. They only need to notify for specific changes.
The whole point is to give you as little notice as possible so you have limited ability to damage anything on the way out.
You won't want to do anything naughty if there's a chance you're staying and you'll only have a limited amount of time after the call.
@ae ANY change needs to be communicated to you. It could be as small as a title change, as large as a complete role change, and anything inbetween.
What if you got one after an email that said all the layoffs in yr dept were done? That's what just happened to me now. Got the 'all communications about exits associated with our organization changes are now complete' email late this afternoon, and then just now, got a touch-base invite for tom'w. Is it then not a layoff, but a reassignment thing maybe?
Touch base = kick on the a-s.. we should sue for false advertising I thought I was going to get a kiss on my hairy a-s
They do this to pretend to claim they don't know what's going to happen to who. Everybody out of the know suffers.
All invites have this title for a reason. It covers layoffs, role changes, scope changes, title changes, promotions, everything. Layoffs don’t get their own special title. Think about it.
