Does anyone know if summer Fridays are going to be observed under this new regime? We’re only about 3 weeks away from Memorial Day. Tick tock.

@hs wow , what a bunch of whack jobs. Paranoid much ?
Are you on crack?
Hardly anyone is in the office on Fridays as it is, so whether or not they officially do Summer Fridays, no one will be working.
The funniest thing at 1515 was that the cafeteria wouldn’t even be open for lunch on fridays in the summer. It was completely shut down. I guess we have to make believe that people are going to be coming in this time around.
@114 I get where you are coming from but 1.) most people didn’t actually make up the time and 2. the company may call it “unlimited” PTO but managers will flag if you take too much time off, so why should we have to burn 7 extra days ?
I never understood summer Fridays. We could take a half day or full day.. but had to make up the hours by coming in earlier or staying later. It made no sense considering we have unlimited PTO. Just take the day as a vacation day.
@kd Yup, Nepo Baby is all about the results and if he doesn’t think we are capable of being productive while working from home, he sure as he-l won’t believe we can turn into the new Netflix and still take an occasional Friday off during the summer.
@jw unfortunately, most Skydance folks are still on Skydance payroll and benefits and do not have unlimited vacation; only 2 weeks per year. Exempt folks won't move to Paramount's unlimited policy until January 2027:(
Eliminating Summer Fridays is a strong move by DE. I believe he's trying to project authority and push employees toward a common goal, like a modern-day Caesar or Napoleon.
@hs We are all one big happy family now - lol - Paramount Skydance. (Or Skydance Paramount?) My understanding was that the perks and benefits were consistent across the company. If you don’t get unlimited PTO, then you are probably an hourly or union employee but all salaried folks should have it?
Can you people at least state what company you're with? Jeez! Skydance, paramount, Viacom, Cbs... Many of these subjects are unrelatable if you're not indicating what conditions or changes in your company can be coming to other areas. Then we're going to have twice the issues with WBD. Communicate ..
@b4 Not all of us are entitled to “unlimited” PTO… I’m not.
@b3 well, if they’re going to be that way can they start paying employees the way Netflix pays?
“Keep Your Job” Fridays…
If SF's are taken away, good luck finding any executive in the office on a Friday or answering their emails for that matter. It will all be the lower level employees.
Supposedly they used to be in our Employee Benefits policy. This year they're not. At 1515 there were digital signs in some elevator banks mentioning Summer Fridays, but I have a feeling those were just carried over from last year and not indicative of any official policy.
Unlimited PTO for the win! Why take every OTHER Friday off when you can take them ALL off!
@a6 I would have loved to be on that in-person collaboration meeting with DE. "They have what? Summer Fridays? Yeah, does Netflix do that? Eff em they have to be in the office"
@as No one is coming in Fridays anyway. Except for the people working scared.
Good thing for FTO!
Just take the damn day; Fu-k 'em.
Don’t believe so
@a6 Same :(
Heard they ain’t happening
