Great ones went down today. The good Directors and Senior Directors of teams departed likely because the SD or VP above them usually felt threatened. This is why Nike is failing. Best to them. They made us better. I hope they take us with them wherever they go!

Your company is a dead stick headed for the same clearance racks that Hurley ended up on. I'd say get out now, if there was anywhere to go. There isn't. That's the reality of the worldwide tech market until the AI bubble bursts, and that's already happening in real time.
All of the roles eliminated are on mass hire in India . Check them out in the company website in India
Same @bh. Including leads and principal levels. Probably just added years of delays to some business critical projects that were months away from completion.
We lost our leader who was well liked by everyone and saved so much money. Nobody even told us. Found out via Slack deactivation.

I can't believe the choices made......many people at the top of their game, long time employees, happy, productive, invested!....now...gone....to be replaced by what....no one...off shore.....who exactly?
letting go of one person that does the work of 10, let's say that person is paid 250k
now there are maaaaany maaaany people at say 150k that do the work of.....wait for it.....they do the work of, no one, zero, zilch....one could even say most of these 'dial it in', and 'not a care in the world' are actually a liability!!!

Thanks OP. I was one of the affected today in GT. They hit all the senior level people that had years bled into the company. I worked hard to save the company millions and it seems I was forgotten about due to sh#t management. A lot of my respectable worker friends went down with me. All I can hope is that AC goes down with all of us for his terrible decisions that lead tech into this mess
Yep! Happens all the time. The not so great ones somehow are protected while the amazing people leaders typically get let go. And the cycle continues….
