New PMP = Game Changer

Been reflecting on this lately and wanted to share. The new PMP Process has been a real game changer for how we get work done. Its simplified so many steps that used to drag on forever with all the old layers and approvals. Now things feel cleaner, priorities are clearer, and we’re actually delivering results quicker without losing the important checks.

What I like most is how it lines up well with the We Lead behaviors. Leaders give clear direction, teams stay aligned, and everyone still has a voice in the key decisions. Cross functional handoffs are smoother, less back and forth, and projects that used to stall are moving forward. In my area we just closed out a couple deliverables ahead of schedule that wouldve taken weeks longer before.

Chevrons new approach here feels spot on. Its helping build that operational resilience and shared purpose while keeping us focused on what really matters. Makes the culture feel stronger and honestly one of the reasons Im optimistic about staying long term, even with all the changes in the industry.

Anyone else seeing the same benefits from PMP? Especially curious how its playing out in the field or ops side. Are you noticing faster delivery, fewer bottlenecks, or is it landing differently out there?

Would love to hear real experiences.

We have the worst PMP process...

We have losers who will literally write 7 pages of PMP non-sense and basically beat their managers down with the minutiae they did for the past year. They will self proclaim ridiculous value add and business impact.

IT schmucks are the worst. Literally nothing you do matters. If oil $ high we're making money.

The whole thing is excruciating.

My PMP was well written by CoPilot and we were actually told that. However, the “A” in SMART for achievable is not possible. Many of my goals are dependent upon other teams that do not have my goal in their priorities. Also, my goals depend upon a MSP to have the organizational capabilities,aka skills to perform actions that my PMP depend upon. So in short the PMP is well eritten is not attainable and subjective to the discretion of my TL who does not like me.

I sincerely hope that this is someone having fun & posting as satire. But just in case it is a real post from HR or PGPA at the direction of the Cryptkeeper MW, kindly go fu-k yourselves. Nobody’s buying the sh-t you keep shoving down our throats.

Creating bullsh-t metrics and then linking PMPs to them in a desperate attempt to show that “we mean business & we’re gonna hold you accountable!” ain’t gonna get us out of the spiral that our clueless Cryptkeeper and his hapless ELT have gotten us into.
