I accomplished something today in about 20 minutes with my manager using Copilot a project that would have taken the India team 11 hours to accomplish. 1 hour to explain. 6 hours to read the document and do the work. Another hour to re-explain what I wanted because they did it wrong, and then another 3 hours to finish the project.
The co-pilot answer was structured, tabular, concise, without excessive use of passive voice that makes my brain hurt.
Definitely the future
You need to do a human dude review as co-pilot does misinterpret often and produces off results. That precautionary note aside, the power of co-pilot is truly awesome. I love using it as well.
Except management is saying it’s ok to include private customer info in order to finish task faster. Common sense tells me this is disaster waiting to happen. I pushed back on this as hard as I could and they won’t listen.👂

Idk what other LOBs are using it for, but for us, it's for customer correspondence and for noting cases that require specific details in order to not get a QA mark down. But the correspondence doesn't have enough information to compromise the customer. Not gonna lie, it cuts the writing time in half. Which means that the position, required above average writing skills. The ability to write doesn't seem like a useful asset now when you have AI doing the work. Which ultimately is the goal right? To eliminate your job because hired, skilled, tenured, educated people costs money. Makes you feel wanted and valued? They tell you at meetings and employee appreciation they value you. Lies, all lies. If they can find a way for AI to do your job, they'll cut the cord quicker than you can blink. THAT is what they value.
