Burned out and done pretending this makes sense

I’m exhausted. The commute, the cost, five days in a seat for work that still happens on a laptop and on calls with people who aren’t even here.

Let’s stop pretending this is improving anything. It’s not driving better results, it’s just draining people. Then leadership turns around and wonders why effort drops.

People aren’t checking out for no reason. They’re burned out from a system that makes zero sense.

This isn’t better for employees, and it’s not better for the company.

Roll it back to hybrid and start measuring output instead of presence.

I’m a market based employee and have to RTO five days a week. I’m the only person in my office. There are neighborhoods on other floors but I was directed to this specific office. Just me. Every day. All day. Serves no purpose. I can sit alone at home too.

Leadership believed and believes that their ridiculous plan will actually drive the stock price higher. Only companies of value realize stock performance. In the end, customers and employees pay the price. Customers leave or their mapping a plan to leave. GFL

First, you have to remember that the only efficiency the head Stank cares about is revenue per employee. That is the reason for 5x8. He does not care about any other efficiency number.

Which department are you in? I’m looking to transfer and would love to consider your job.
