@1wg or a ceo that actually does anything, like work, instead of just begging for praise for buybacks every town hall.

@1qr 2017 was Mattel’s Girl Boss era. I don’t think we’ll ever fully recover from that. When she took over as CEO the stock was trading at ~$30 a share. By the time of her departure a year later, the stock had gone down 50%. Nearly a decade later, MAT is still languishing at around $15 a share. True story.

@1st You should start a toy company and pay your CEO less and your employees more. I'd work there.

CNBC reporting CEO pay increased 20 times the amount of employees pay in 2025. If you are a Mattel employee or investor, god help you, check the annual report when published in June. Way too late to do anything as an investor. That stat is an awful and Mattel is a joke as it probably exceeds this stat for Ynot.

How about the 38 million paid to the former Google exec that played Mattel CEO for 11 months in a year the company lost 1 billion dollars per the annual report!

When the head of the Boys Business Unit was able to commute via helicopter daily from his home Palm Springs. A long time ago , but still pathetic that a management allowed this and paid for it.

Never. It would have to be funny to be a joke. More like a tragedy.

This place is such a joke that whatever is you’re here to share doesn’t even matter. Either we’ll all be replaced by outsourcing and offshoring, or some “leader” will have a bright idea that makes today’s grievances feel like benefits. So. There you have it.

@vd the phrase “old white dude” is no longer a string of adjectives used to describe something literally - it’s more about entitlement, self centric decision making, instability while celebrating himself. He might not be Caucasian, but he sure acts like it.

@te the CEO runs Mattel13, he calls the shots, the BoD are puppets. How many people have been let go, what has the stock done….the Board gets paid regardless

@p9 the BOD’s job is to represents the interests of the shareholders by providing high-level oversight and strategic direction to maximize long-term value. The buck stops with them.

I'm always amazed how incompetent and toxic people take forever to get rid of. Plenty of opportunities, but let's move them to another group. Better yet, promote them so more people can suffer from their wrath. Meanwhile, the worker bees are on the chopping block because of budget cuts. Speaking of budgets. Hey, how's that new building coming along? When is the move? If we need to be out be August, don't you think we should maybe start moving now?

Yes, old privileged white dudes are to blame!

Checks Mattel's Board of Directors:

Oh, it's six women and five men, only three of which are white???

The best part about working at Mattel is telling people that you work at Mattel.

It’s exciting when you first start then you realize it’s a tar pit. For some, saying you work for a place is enough to be fulfilled.

The place is rotten

Now GTO has their useless hands on everything so nothing gets done. Constant barrier to execution. And they cost out all the awesome and innovative ideas in toys until it's absolute garbage going out the door.

Having no strategic plan that honors the values the company was created on, every brand having constant identity crisis, axing the people doing the work twice a year and then having audacity to push remaining workers to take on more for literally no reason. This company isn’t just toxic - it’s abusive. If they want us to leave to hire younger and cheaper babies at least spare us the hilarious rah rah town halls and be honest with us.

Looking forward to those surveys as well, though, they didn’t bother to buy our approval like they do with the best places to work “awards” so I’m sure Itll be years before they can handle hearing the big scary non delusional truth

corrupt leadership and p&c covers them. Toxic environment with multiple ethical issues/concerns. Mattel either will be acquired or sold off by pieces . Get out while you can❗️❗️❗️
