Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Buh-bye NetSuite!

My wife's company used NetSuite as its accounting system. They paid the yearly software subscription fee, plus the technical support fee. Now it's coming time to renew, and NetSuite wanted to charge 25% more than last year, with no support.

They declined, and are now going with a competitor. Not a huge dollar amount in the grand scheme of things, but another loss for O makes me happy!

Watching to see if that spreads through the rest of their product stack.

NetSuite is a mess. Leadership, ahem "leadership" won't even acknowledge how their pivots and zero decision making ability has spun the place into chaos. It was hilarious when that person asked anon in the all hands q &a why people like PP still have jobs, it's what we were all thinking! People have been doing absolutely nothing for quarters on end because no one can get any sensible plan together aside from "AI". They have some world class researchers and yet they make gut driven decisions. Trust your tech bruh buddy instead of the research. That lack of being able to get their sh-t together due to politics is why competitors will leap frog over them. They completely rely on people feeling "stuck" in the ecosystem and forcing renewals.

This is the same happy feeling I get whenever I see customer reject our release due to defects. Oracle deserves this due the way it treat its employees.

That is a very wise decision of your wife’s company. People are waking up.
