Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

GK and EL threw all the Managers under the bus and making life difficult

My manager apologized to me for the poor bonus and raise and he indicated my compensation has nothing to do to do with my performance last year, which was outstanding. He said this is what he was given, would habe loved to give everyone that deserved it more, but his hands were tied.

Now GK and EL to us to talk to our manager??? Why do they want to throw the managers under the bus when they have no control over compensation that has a cap.

I feel really bad for all the good managers.

Thank god we still have some direct managers we report to that cares and are honest.
My manager is also flexible. He told me he doesn’t care if I am in 2 hours or 8 hours in office since I sit alone in my hub. Everyone else is a different hub.

Unfortunately, I worry GK, EL, and the MC will force him to write me up and fire me because I don’t sit in the office 8 hours a day, just to talk to other members on Team.

They have given managers little control, but all the blame.

Talk to the manager.

make some friends, that’s why you are miserable.

It’s always your fault, not GK

I’m remote, I obviously received the no merit news, but my review was meets expectations, not because my work wasn’t stellar, it was because they could only award 1 exceed in our group. I don’t and can’t blame my managers for the lack of merit when it is clearly coming from the top. Shame on her for putting it back on the management team, I feel bad for the good ones.

Is there any possible hope of making a change? It feels like we are stuck between a rock and a hard place.

El looks like he spent more time on his hair gel & pocket square than evaluating the terrible moral of the organization. I can't see any reason to recommend employment and services to friends and family. It wasn't like this.

GK and EL want us to feel like it’s our performance that is effecting our compensation and they want our managers to go along with it.

In reality the money from our hard work, that should be used to pay us for good performance, is going to AI devolvement, building that building in India, NFL partnership, and to their own compensation.
