Anyone has any hints about what this year will bring? Do they plan second round of layoffs after Q1/Q2 results?

@659 😔 so sad!
A bunch of folks are hitting the doors in June as part of wave two layoffs. Some of them are aware, many are not. There will also be more later in 2026.
@OP It’s coming… stay tuned. You can set your watch by it.
Don't forget the original New York office before the move to Centerport.
Moving from New York to DFW was a much bigger deal than any other move. All the little moves around DFW are really nothing compared to that.
This year will bring moving out of the Southlake office.
Centerport to Trinity to Solana to Westlake to Southlake to Las Colinas or Plano.
How do you feel about that?
Be sure and get your Cheap Shades before they run out at the Sabre Shop....
I guess we will find out after Q1 results. It will be great!
@13e Used to be NIIT - National Indian IT. C r a p is what comes from India.
@13f
I can't even do it within Sabre with experienced related-domain staff. It's got little to do with documents and code and all to do with experience. Lots of the industry domains are highly technical, highly regulated, and not for the faint hearted. You can learn the basics in a week, but understanding is years of applied effort.
It's a pretty depressing vista.
@zx it is not feasible to share decades of knowledge, with someone who knows nothing about the topic, in just a couple of months, especially when you're many months behind schedule.
@121 Coforge is an Indian company. Their end goal is to pitch Indians. Off course at start they might hire anybody, but the future is pretty much readable because Indians are cheaper than Americans or Polish.
@121 Hiring Americans is not their goal, just getting resumes and preliminary interviews with Americans so they can meet a quota
@w5 I was contacted by Coforge after being laid off by Sabre. A job was discussed quickly with a dollar figure tossed out there. Recruiter said he’d be in touch within a week. No call. I followed up. Nothing. Coforge is very hit-and-miss. The Coforge recruiting staff is not professional and English is not their first language. They do not understand the American culture or work ethic. If they want to succeed and hire Americans, they need to learn our culture, communicate effectively, and return communication as promised.
@w5 @w5 Coforge, hiring people is out of desperation as our guys never shared knowledge which they thought will save them. If you look around, you will see that the Coforge team that started the project - The Delivery SVP, The SME who sold the deal, the 2 Enterprise Architects, - all have been pushed out of the account or forced to resign. Coforge thought, they could bring their own methods, approaches and out of the box thinking as in this deal, Coforge has a big skin in the game. But our leadership - the likes of previous lab SVP, and the existing Enterprise Architecture team(the old furniture), wanted Coforge to be just order takers and they caused the initial Coforge team to be pushed out or resign as the Coforge team brought in ideas, which challenged the EA and labs method of working. So when Sabre people are let go, Coforge is forced to hire them as they do not have qualified people and our people, held all knowledge to themselves. These new hires will also be kicked out mercilessly, once their use is over. So Coforge is hiring out of desperation and there will be no mercy, when these new hires start to hit the margin.
@w5 the deal was to retain the sabre transitioned people for a year.
@dj So far it’s been the complete opposite. Coforge is actually hiring people who were laid off by Sabre, which means they’re increasing their headcount, not reducing it.
Crystal ball says... more of the same.The C-Suite gets fatter rewards and the rest get their scraps.
Given what is happening in the Mid East, what are the chances that they will meet earlier estimates? They will still put some spin to it..
This year is going to bring more doom and gloom unfortunately, as the management do not have a clear path to profit. Mosaic, AI, other Marketing pitches are not going to yield value as our foot print is dwindling in the industry. Management is trying to push more and more work to Coforge and the leaders at Coforge are happily accepting it, interpreting this move to street, as trust in Coforge' s capability to deliver. The bubble is going to burst soon as even after an year of running the MFOL, Coforge has not been able to show any savings. But this factor is conveniently ignored by JDF . How long will the reality be hidden?. There are also rumors that Coforge is planning to cut its Sabre workforce. So overall, except for few at the top on both sides, for the hardworking people, it is doom and gloom. The top, will always find a way to spin to justify their existence.
