Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

How does this even work?

CFO got a $26 million bonus after layoffs. Doesn't that negate the loss of a whole bunch of jobs?

Do you really want to hire a sh---y CFO who tanks the price of the stock and overhires causing us to constantly repeat this process over and over? Idk.

I’m not sold she’ll be good, but I don’t have any problem with the CFO of my company having incentives to ensure the company is financially successful. It’s good for us if the company doesn’t go bankrupt.

The bonuses are predefined. They met whatever criteria was in place and got paid for it. Executives at that level of a company this large are compensated well. It is not unique to Oracle.
