Totally new to the place. Which areas are you staying for good schools, decent commute. How does parking work for HQ. McKinney, Frisco and Plano are looking as good areas but don’t want to go too far out to commute.

As far as the commute part of your decision. Take into account distance versus time for that commute. Traffic can be brutal certain times of the day in that area and depending on where you settle you are probably looking at toll charges. Obviously trying to keep a job is the biggest consideration. No state income taxes but the property taxes can cut into a big portion of that.
I’d buy this ranch at 3700 Hogge Drive in Parker. Say hi to JR for me.
Get your feel of that Texas heat right off the bat.
@av these aren't the droids you're looking for
Summer will be hot. Make sure to cut some ventilation holes into your box.
Why are you posting here. Try to do your research in better portals if you are serious about schools and not here. Don't find shortcuts by posting here.
You are going to love it. Welcome!
“ Take into consideration you’ll be in Plano in a couple years“
More likely unemployed. Within one year.
You are going to love Dallas! This is a career milestone for you.
This isn't the forum for your question.
I would rent before you purchase. It sux to move twice but it will be worth renting for 6 months to a year to get a better feel for the area.
Don't go out to Rockwall
If schools and more affordable housing matters, don't move anywhere near our current HQ. Unless you're considering private schools.
Best bets are Richardson, Plano, Allen, Frisco, The Colony, Prosper or Celina. The commute will su-k to HQ now but will be much better come 2028. Unless you're not planning to be here in 2028, which then I'd question why you're moving here for this.
Live in NJ, 6 year employee and considering a move to Dallas...wondering if I should make the move....maybe I will get to meet Stankey
Take into consideration you’ll be in Plano in a couple years.
Cobgratations!
Recommend Denton, Lewisville, Texas is nice, Fort Worth is cool too, check out the stock yards, Texas motor speedway, US Mint, & Buc-ee’s, What-a-burger. Traffic can be rough, lots of toll roads, there is light rail in areas into Dallas. Best of luck.
