60 people let go April 9th from the North Amityville location. All where on the b1b program. Program was sold . They will be closing 1 of 3 buildings at first. Harris is then selling off the other 2 buildings we-pons release and antennas after this. The new company they are creating for missile defense. The division sale should happen end or the beginning of 2017 to mid 2017
Clifton is also to be a target end of 2027. There the only division that owns there facility . Property worth quite a bit of money. The high cost of labor in new Jersey. Programs are to be moved and or sold. As we all know Harris needs cash.
I have been with Harris management in palm bay for 10 years. Family person just like you.
Don't want people caught off guard about their choice of employment to affect their future also current staff.
Maybe I am a snitch but want future and current staff to be aware .
All the best to you and yours to the future.

B1B RIP
Sounds like miss charging . Just like other facilities are doing. Project over budget just charge one the has a nice new budget. Maybe speak to congressional person. Maybe L3harris needs a little investigation.
B1b is being retired . The support for the systems in the field was sold off.It was the only program that location had. Clifton has just one program that everybody is charging time to.The other programs are either suspended, over budget and behind schedule or just plain not working.
A million dollars a month to keep that dump open.
But hey, thugs have to work somewhere.
This closure was announced a while ago. Clifton has been in discussions for quite a while also. The facility (property) is worth at least $15 million in today's market.
One million square feet of a dank, musty, under utilized building with an overpriced labor force that only has one robust program left.
Why do you think the union got such a big raise? Those folks are never going to see the end of that contract. They are needed to stay on long enough to transition the work to another location. Clifton has been a money pit for years.
What are all of those bullsh-t artists gonna do now?
You are helping people. Thanks!
