...ain't nothing "VP"about the salary. How has this company not yet updated salary bands?
It's not 2008 anymore.

I used to be a vp there..now I dont even have an officer title and I make 40% more. The best part, way less responsibility!
VP been here 23 years (been a VP for about 8 of those years) and I’m at 98k.
Meanwhile, they have me doing the work of a Director level
And why are all the new tards with no experience being offered so much more than existing staff too start
Same here but 58K a year.
@ag same here but 165k
@ca seriously you need to get a different job
I recently checked my bank account and realized my 'VP' title actually stands for Vaguely Paid
VP with 12 years…71K (!)
VP 130k here…but 20 years in….
@OP If you look at the overall VP title, I’ll bet you find staff holding that title are folks with 15+ years experience with the bank. They leave you here to vegetate while they hire in SVPs and Directors that the VPs will ultimately train. It’s BS. If they aren’t moving you up, leave this sh*thole.
Last I saw VP starts at $65k which is a joke. The same goes for SVP. They give out the fancy title without the pay so you feel important and are trapped by the title. Other companies pay analysts and senior analysts more than what BNY pays VP’s.
@a9 what the other poster said...consider yourself lucky, I guess.
I'm a VP in Pittsburgh and nowhere near 100K much less 110K you're making.
@a9 im a VP and only making 87k
I was a vp and was making 110k a year..pathetic
Cheaper to give out job titles than higher salaries.
The 2008 bands started with job grade cc. Now the lowest pay is what would equal an H. However they never changed anyone's job grades nor did they up everyone who was already making the new Min. HR will tell you to ask your manager for the new bands. Your manager will tell you to ask HR. There is NOTHING transparent about this company. Toxic and full of lies.
At BNY, VP is short for V-ery P-athetic.
