Remember when you'd apply and actually hear back? Not anymore. Now all I get is silence. And most of the jobs on LinkedIn aren't even real. They're phantom postings that go nowhere. The only way I see people actually getting hired is through networking. Someone knows someone who knows someone. That's it. The economy is really bad and the old methods don't work anymore.

@bt LinkedIn is probably the most useless site out there. It’s a total waste of time. Had 1 recruiter reach out to me that never even resulted in an interview. There was the promise of one to come but I’m still waiting!

Don’t use Linkedin to apply to roles. Use it to research, connections and apply directly to the companies thru their website. Careful connecting with recruiters or showing you are open to jobs. That when the ghosting starts, especially when people ask you to call using WhatsApp. Lol
You must not have job hunted for a while. Not hearing back has been a thing for 15 years now.
The only thing you can do is to keep trying.
