Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

No customers for hours

We are going hours without customers here in the northeast. It’s becoming more often. Is anyone else experiencing this at their stores?

  1. The network is pretty bad.
  2. There are better competitors
  3. People shop online (or through apple stores)
  4. The stores are about as exciting to go to as the dentist, doctor, or any other standard, mundane place.

As a Verizon's employee and Customer (FiOS and Wireless) every time I've walked in one of the flagship stores I felt unwanted, sometime I've showed my Id. to get the employee discount and received the "look". Every time I had an issue, as customer, it was always the "go away" feeling. The attitude would change if an upgrade or a new line turn-up would be in the mix. The period when employees were not allowed in the stores, every effort was toward to speak loud on what "we can't do" rather than lending an hand.

The website is trap ... sale, sale, sale, sale ... once you venture to check some option there is the same "point of no return" feeling - a dead end. A trap ...

The Verizon Wireless stores are the epitome of rudeness, greed and low IQ folks

@a5 Yes, “WE” all are dishonest and clearly don’t deserve to earn an honest living. There would be no possibility that “WE” could be good at our job without being shady. Thanks for clarifying. Much appreciated.

Sounds similar to some employees at Lake Mary. Some are missing in action for hours on a regular basis with every excuse in the book. Still survived rifs and are even more emboldened. Empty stores and missing employees are the culture OS we know and love!

To many years of slamming unnecessary products and services. Example $19 insurance and the disaster of an idea of adding cpe to get promo deals. What a way to lie to the street of net phone growth.

Are you making cold calls and/or following up on leads?

@aa that is actually concerning that in the boomer capital of the country we aren’t seeing foot traffic in stores. I’d imagine everywhere else is significantly worse..

Most people can get a new phone online. Plus the market is saturated.

That’s because you guys are untrustworthy. People on the phone are more honest, sadly not a high bar to achieve.
