Thread regarding Belk layoffs

Some top brass planning exit

Multiple members of Belk’s top brass are quietly and quickly planning an exit strategy from the company. Some choosing to stay in the retail industry, while others choosing the leave the industry altogether. Retirement is a viable option for some. Know that business model of belk is antiquated and unsustainable.

Belk has long experienced high employee turnover, but the situation has become increasingly challenging, particularly under investor ownership. After 27 years with the company, I made the decision to leave retail altogether. Throughout my tenure, I witnessed many talented individuals depart or be let go. Belk thrived when it was a family-owned business, and it’s disheartening to see the changes that have unfolded since.

@gg
It’s been a revolving door, especially in planning and visual. Didn’t belk loose the CFO too? Its quite a sh-tshow.
