@km how much of this is true? We got the email and explains how to calculate your compensation. It is terrible!

Production UW is useless. Definitely time for that department to close.

By the way, people are fighting to be selected for the voluntary exit, the payouts seem to be that good. Its different than what's happening to entry level roles, they are getting shoved into claims. Claims doesn't need to lose people, it desperately needs people, mostly due to purposely understaffing and ignoring high turnover for over a decade.

There is just SO MUCH bad info on this site, i really wonder why people post here who clearly don't work for the company.

Our meeting today confirmed its a voluntary exit, 55+ and over 10 years of service. Only asking for a couple of people from different levels, like my area is asking for one SM, one TM, and a few Senior analysts. The consultants have a request for 35 people. (PLM) No one knows if they have plans to do this again next year or not yet. I guess we see how rest of the year goes.

They should offer that in every area. So the ones ready to retire will go on and get those high salaries off the books.

BLRC Fire and Auto UW had their meeting today. They’re only asking for 5 volunteers out of 294 and if they don’t get enough volunteers then they’ll choose and it’ll be based on age and tenure with State Farm. Aka they’re wanting the people who have been here forever to retire so they don’t have to keep paying them.

So not so bad news for BLRC. Better than other departments options I’ve seen so far.

So far we know all of UW affected. Service to the biggest hit following by production and then underwriting.

Service is getting the change to relocate, production is too. Underwriting is getting a severance.

There’s good and bad for all 3. But it’s better to have a job with another department than to loose one completely!

@a2 I’m aware my dept is impacted but wanted to know specifics on how other meetings went. And the first round was actually 11-12.

i think the first round of meetings is just starting, its been explained countless times on this website what is happening, and youd already know if your segment is impacted.
