Thread regarding L3Harris Technologies layoffs

Sunday scaries

I have now entered the point where Sunday comes and I feel sick to my stomach. I used to love my job.

Here we go again. Sunday. Clifton. April. Anxiety.

Can't have scaries if you work 6 or 7 days a week. Wish I had a job where I could contemplate if I had a job Monday or not. I have too much work.

@1n8 - why you’ll just expel something that looks very much like L3Harris

Can you take something for constipation?

@hp I began my career at BAE in NJ. I later moved to ITT. But I never experienced the "Sunday scaries" until the merger that created L3Harris. This company, it it's present form, is an abomination. I've never seen an organization like this. It exists completely for the investors. Not the customers. Not the end-users. And certainly not the employees.
We are reminded every Monday morning how small we are, and how little we matter. We are scolded for the failures of flawed methodologies force-fed to us by a clueless corporate leadership. I look forward to cashing out very soon. My decision to stay these last 6 years were purely mercenary on my part. I "worked" for time and a half and double time whenever I could. I did next to nothing and pocketed every dime. And I'm not giving it back. I'm retiring with a huge 401K and a pension.
Good Riddance L3Hosebag.

Wednesday is the new Sunday in Clifton. Especially in April.

@hy I mean they are getting free advice, hopefully well meaning, and connecting a human level with their peers. THIS is doing something. Get your gears turning, self-evaluation of your situation. It can help make those next steps possible. Wether that's to batten down the hatches or jump ship. Its their life, I like to think I've contributed positively to our collective situation. We're humans living together, let's make the best of it.

@hp - I agree. These people need to stop talking about their troubles and do something about their troubles. Complaining never solved anything.

I am retired for over a year now but while working for L3Harris I felt the same, Sundays were always depressing because of the return to work on Monday.
Working for RTX (Raytheon), I did not have those feelings. Maybe a change of employer may help you.

When they bulldoze that place to the ground , I'll be there. I look forward to hopping the fence and pi----g on the debris pile.

@cw You mean you didn't go crawling back to Clifton for less money? Good for you. The only ones left Clifton obviously have no place else to go. 😆
Sux to be them.

Sorry you folks are going through this nonsense. As someone who was laid off from Clifton a couple years ago, I know exactly how anxious and stressful it is, not knowing whether you’ll be walked out by security after a meeting with HR. To me, it was a blessing in disguise. I got severance pay, and found a better paying job that isn’t toxic like Clifton SAS. I wish you all the best and hope you can move on from this sad excuse of a defense contractor.

Clifton? Yeah tell me about it. They like laying people off so much, they should get rid of the whining supervisor and his wife. All he does is complain about having "too many jobs" .He was useless in the union too. This is who they keep?
Bullsh-t.

It happens to me around bedtime on Sunday night every week. After 23 years here, I am thankful to be leaving soon. I'm looking forward to putting this career behind me. I'm probably going to look forward to never driving through this part of Clifton again.
Ph-k this place.
