@d8 don’t forget, we had layoffs in Jan 2025, that was a small number between 150-175, but numbers weren’t reported since half were able to find another internal role.
@d8 thank you. I got tired of repeating to everyone this is a trend going back 4 years. Do we know when. Yes - basically. Do we know exactly which teams? Yes - the ones that aren’t hiring. If you’re on a sh-tbag team or have a sh-tbag boss your odds increase.
@d8 the number impacted in the October 2025 round, was between 250-275, the layoffs back on January 28th were close to 1k.

USAA usually has 3 rounds of layoffs per year, the first big hit was January with 5% cut and still needing 5% to go to meet the goal of 10% by end of year. Best guess, and just by following history, expect a round of layoffs sometime in May and October.
Bank layoffs are coming up either this month or next. Severance will be paid shortly to employees impacted in January. Get ready for Fraud Ops and others to get hit!
