Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Severance

I have been here close to 5 years but I feel like my team is on the chopping block and being automated. Some People are getting moved to other teams and red badges let go.
I think eventually blue badges will be let go a couple at a time. Does anyone know if severance is provided for small cuts like one or two people or is severance only for the big LR's that get anounced for a large percent??

PiP is the new LR
if you get pushed down that path don't expect much

one month you are a great performer, the next you are a drag on the company. so classless

Know of 2 individuals that were put on plan and let go over the past few months. One received 2 months severance and the other just 1 month. Hope this helps but both cases seem pretty low.

Severance is heavily depending on which countries you work. US is probably the lowest - pretty consistent around 4-6 month pay

Got laid off last November they kept me under payroll for 2 months and then to gave me my severance in January . I found a new job in March I didn't even touch my severance. I am working for a big company and they gave their ok en problems but they dont have major layoffs. Their tech takes awhile to learn so they want people to support in. I am lucky the layoff worked in my favor

They will make you resign, if they don’t want to give anything

Severance will follow any layoff, big or small, barring major changes. Honestly Cisco will even do a severance deal in many cases in terminations for cause to avoid legal challenges (albeit with smaller severance packages I think).

Ultimately Cisco wants you to take your check and go away.

Yeah the morale on my team is horrible right now. Everyone is just exhausted at this point. I don’t think I’ve ever been this stressed working for a very below average company.
