Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

It's official..U.S Bank hates its employees

If you weren't sure before you should know it now.

Not sure how this motivates anyone to care about their work anymore and you can't outsource your way to success.

The lack of care for employees is real. They canned the head of recognition, ethics and well being. What does that tell you? I can’t believe how far this company has fallen. Thanks for the toxicity GK.

The distinctiveness of this individual (Gunjan Kedia) among successful Indian-origin CEOs in the USA, such as Sundar Pichai of Google, Satya Nadella of Microsoft, Arvind Krishna of IBM, Shantanu Narayen of Adobe, and Indra Nooyi of (Ex-CEO) PepsiCo, lies in her unique approach. Unlike her peers, who have effectively catered to employee needs, she has been known to blindly follow ( Partners strategy to force employees sit at desk for 8 hours - like Caterpiller/Sweatshop) and propagate the idea of long office hours, a concept that has been met with laughter among her (own) colleagues.

Regarding U.S. Bank, the concern among shareholders has started that USB may struggle to retain top talent, potentially leading to absorption or merger with a smaller bank, possibly Capital One or Truist. This situation underscores the challenges of imposing the mindset/thought of topmost privilged class of india (0.0001%) and their cultural expectation on a workforce (labor slavery) that operates differently in the United States.

@a5 PLEASE come back to this post in a month or so and let us know how things are going! I understand the type of personality you're referring to in your mgr, and your strategy is great.

Good for you, a5. Make them fire you, make them do all the paperwork and collect your checks and relax. It will take at least 2 months for your high Caste Manager to fire us low caste worker

Having fun with this. Boss is 30 something year old Indian American who wears designer suits. He has labeled me in his mind as a low caste person. Very obvious with his micromanagement.

I was ready to retire and a surprise inheritance occurred. No one knows.

He scolded me today about RTO and I just looked at him and said “oh yeah?” Nothing else.

That got him. He said he will put me on discipline. I answered “interesting”. I then looked at my watch and said I was going to lunch.

Figure this can go on for months and much of his energy will be dealing with HR,etc.

This is all part of the plan to either run people off or find reason to fire folks to keep lay off numbers down/pay less severance. . This bs on top of project horizon. If you didn’t know US Bank is standing a 650,000 sq ft center in India to move tech and back end to into. Plan is to hire 5000 to 6000 people and they hope to have it operational by end of year. So if you’re in tech the writing is on the wall. Don’t believe me then look for articles in the India times about it.
