Changing the rules is the attrition tactic

RTO was designed as an attrition playground from day one, that was always the point. It was obvious they'd keep tightening the sc--ws, and turn up the heat if not enough people quit on their own.

I would be more willing to come into office if I had an assigned space. With community seating I can’t even make the space that I spend most of the day at feel somewhat personal.

I didn't used to agree with this. I thought it might just be an overreaction from the excesses from the Covid era and would level out soon. But the way they've rolled this out over the last few years, vague requirements, dripping worse and worse news as needed, unethical behavior bordering on downright lies, combined with just an overall strategy of cutting benefits wherever legal, offshoring, and worsening even small quality of life perks, and it's pretty clear you're correct.

I used to respect this company so much, but they've burned that goodwill one dishonest memo at a time.
