How in the he-l are we supposed to make money for these people when they keep hacking and slashing? Not only did we not even get enough hours to run the store, they just cut 2/5 of our full time staff? And they think hiring team leads will make up for that?

I was one of them who got cut and I was a campus store manager. Because we also had a campus store director I was cut. I do not miss Follett at all.
@2dr They won't listen to any feedback about staffing- not sure how they think that is not connected to customer service response times. Asinine. They get info and then do deeper cuts!
@bw WOW.
TONE DEAF!!!
Check LinkedIn! We’re doing GREAT!

Won't the huge waste of money calleed Shopify fix all?
we lost a team lead and we were barely scraping by to begin with. ivory tower is full of mo--ns.
For the stores that lost employees, how many employees do you have operating the stores? I’m wondering if this is only small stores? Seems to be isolated to Team leads?
Follett su-ks. Get out ASAP
Lay off 100+ but waste money on Gallup surveys that won't change a thing.
Make it make sense
@bb one assistant manager and our receiving team lead (who was the only person with the knowledge to do it)
@bw Same at mine. They really love doing this right before graduation.
At my store we had store manager plus one full time team lead. Now there is only a store manager with no help/relief/loyalty.
What job titles were the full time positions that were eliminated? Shipping? General Merchandise? Apple Tech? Any Manager positions within the store?
Let them burn. I feel bad for the people still working there. They don’t care about anyone in the field, they just care about OTC. Then you get a RM who loses stores specifically because EK and the Gvp can’t be bothered to make an effort for the university, blame it on the RM, and make them fire a bunch of people. Then block them from advancing. That’s wild! The whole company is chopped. For the people still working there, keep your head down and ears open. Update those resumes.
They had to cut all these people to create that new ivory tower position. Then they wonder why emails, phone calls and orders aren't getting done.
