Thread regarding Fidelity National Information Services Inc. layoffs

Can someone please sum it up?

I read so many posts here and still have some questions…

  1. Those that were riffed were given until June 30th to work and then get severance package.
  2. Those that were rebadged have 12 months contract?
  3. Does the pay remain the same?
  4. Do you keep the same insurance?
  5. Do you keep vacation/sick time?
  6. If you decline to be rebadged, FIS will take that as voluntary resignation so no severance package…when do they consider the last day?

So some employees will be layoff and get FIS severance money, and others will be transferred to Indian company and eventually layoff with lesser severance money? Did I get that right?

@c8 breathe this: there are many employees, former or otherwise, using this space for to process their fear, grief, rage, etc. Each individual faces questions for which the answers are terrifying in this economy. No one should limit or attempt to frame anyone else's experience. If participating here is causing you agita, then don't. But, don't come in and stomp around issuing your point of view about the participants. You belong to the blow hards who keep showing up to scold. Just fu-k right off.

I have a feeling we have two kinds of people on these pages. The first type are Stephanie’s bots, who need to create an atmosphere of fear so people don’t complain within the organization or ask critical questions. They want everyone to just 'keep calm,' because you never know when the next RIF is coming. RIF is our new 'strategic motivational pillar' and benefit.

The second type are recently RIFed colleagues who are trying to explain that Stephanie ruined the company and that people should leave FIS, so they are not alone. This is probably true; but still, guys, you were let go - leave it, move on, and don't bring additional noise.

The people who are left write the least. They wait and live in fear. Out of respect to all of us still working for this company: both of you, fu-k off. Let us breathe!

1 yes
2 it will be 90 days employment then terminated
3 different insurance sign up
4 for some yes, others get lower pay
5 if you earn 3 weeks of vacation, you can still earn it and do not keep anything from fis
6 yes and 90 days why because it is america law that says if you do not give 90 days, follow warn act, follow ada, you must publish firings as well as be held liable.

fis is skirting around laws and demanding signatures or else. there will be more lawsuits incoming to fis. it is easy to bully employees that have no choice. understand, all employees will lose, only some will file and win, people that transfer will transfer and document their job and be fired, cognizant and the other will outsource the jobs to people that make 500-1000 usd a month. fis loses any mandate, any requirement for personnel and benefits, and is now staged to sell or remove the board and executives and start fresh. which do you think they will do?

No, here's why: all of the answers are on this page, repeated in many posts. If you are an employee, you have a manager, the TP and colleagues to assist you, If you are merely curious, it is no one's job here to curate their trauma for your perusal. It's galling for you to ask.
