Old titles still active, next for RIFs?

I have noticed that my team still has the old titles( i.e. no lead , principal etc. but rather titles like senior). Also seems like we are next in line for RIFs? Has anybody heard anything regarding this?
I am looking for a new job not wanting to stay with this company under this leadership, but still want to know where I al.

@f2 It looks like you aren't here to read, but rather to vent some of your own frustrations or insecurities.

What a mo--n

RIFs were not only for DIRECTOR OR ABOVE

You do live in a closet

For over 3 years FIS has been slagging people to the wayside and your smart brain picked out directors and above

Takes a special kind of stupid

@d7 If I read the topic is RIFs related to titles. Only RIFs specific to titles were for directors and above last year; anything else was budget RIF.

Relax mate! No need to get upset. FIS isn’t life.

Completely unrelated for Titles. A lot of it was to get ready for the Cognizant spin off and lining up with TSYS. We all know the RIF's are pretty much both tactical and random. Please don't worry if your job title is old or new, if it's coming your way, it won't matter which job title you have.

the only rif last year was for directors and above? is this a person with zero clue? rif's have been happening for more than 2 years. they didn't follow the warn act, they didn't follow a few things. limiting payouts, grabbing people from various business segments, and forcing a 24-48 hour time to sign documentation.

you have got to be one of the stupidest people alive to state only directors and above for last year. what will happen shortly will be an outsourcing and firing of over half the company. over half. read that again. along with that half will middle and lower management be involved. again, staying away from board members and executive level (the cause of the issues at fis).

best case scenario, we lose all those people, we get bought out and ingested into a new company - visa, mc, global banking, etc. doesn't matter. for that buyout and ingestion, over 75% of remaining employees will be gone, the board and executives will get their millions and nobody will remember fis. worst case scenario, even though we have money, we still file bankruptcy due to the pi-s poor management of low level management up to the ceo and board. either way, they will still get paid millions while you get nothing.

this is fis

I also believe it’s unrelated to titles. The only RIF we had last year was for directors and above. However, every RIF operates on a budget and you need to save, regardless of whether the titles are old or new.

I know someone who got a title change and didn't even know about it because they had already been laid off and lost access to their laptop. Wasn't until they got another job and their employer had a flag on incorrect title where they even found out. I wouldn't put much weigh into titles meaning anything.

Well my team had titles changes and we still got affected so I wouldnt count on the new titles to keep anyone safe.
