Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

RTO is working.

Return to office, a fresh new start,
A chance to reconnect, to share, to spark.
The hum of voices, ideas in flight,
Collisions of minds that just feel right.

No more the silence of screens alone,
But laughter and teamwork, fully grown.
Quick chats that turn into something more,
Innovation waiting behind each door.

Morning routines with purpose and pace,
Seeing determination on every face.
A shared momentum, a collective drive,
Where goals feel closer, ambitions thrive.

So here’s to the days we gather again,
Colleagues as more than names on a screen.
Together we build, create, and inspire
In the office glow, we rise even higher.

"I don't work in an office. However, the primary reason for rto was to have older employees engage and mentor younger employees."

Ahh, you drank the kool-aide.

"older employees engage and mentor younger employees & get older workers to quit"

Ah the irony . . . get rid of the folks that are needed to train the replacements. What a winning strategy. Only someone who has a proven record of buying high/selling low could come up with a strategy like that. Sounds like a Stankey strateg, fo sho!

No it is not , as many folks are out of the office by 2:00PM now and when in different time zones it is really difficult and off-shore folks are available until noon Eastern time zone. So no RTO is NOT working.

Well done. The only thing missing is a name. You should call this poem Descension into Delusion. It is obvious that the longer the poem goes on the madder the writer is getting.

Yes, or more drunk.

I don't work in an office. However, the primary reason for rto was to have older employees engage and mentor younger employees. The new hires were lost with remote work.
The other reason was to get older workers to quit.
It isn't that complicated and doesn't require daily postings.
And i did relocate to Dallas.

Poorly written and conceived. Not cute or clever or witty on any level, even ironically.

"RTO is helping to ensure right place, right time and right duration."

That explains why the offices start to empty out at 1pm every day.

Meeting new coworkers who were always there but unknown has really been the highlight of RTO for me.

"RTO has improved productivity at AT&T."

Provide the metric showing improvement, other than a reduction in employee cost.

As an FYI, every empirical study has shown that there is no improvement to efficiency or other business metrics with 5x RTO.

RTO has improved productivity at AT&T. If not onboard with it, see the door.
