PP&C bean counter thread pile on! Since we're tied to 'program management'... this would be a great place to air super dirty laundry. The other good thing about PP&C is we can see the demand across business platforms and gauge where the layoffs are heading next...
why gripe about what others make? I was in PPC and jumped around for 30+ years. I left HON for 25% raise and better beni's, profit share, paid OT and 40 hrs work week. I'm coasting now and have hit my magic number to retire but the new place is just too good a deal to pass up - we can WFH and only need to come in when there's a major review. I feel bad for my friends that stayed in one place too long - there are only quiet quitters left and anxious young people with seconds thoughts about staying on...
The year before I put in my notice I said I was entertaining offers from one of the Prime Contractors because I didn't see the company making any meaningful improvements. I was given a new but similar roll with 15% bump in pay and less work. I still left a year later since 'leadership' is more interested in business as usual and fluffing their nest.
HON needs another aerospace washout like the late 80s so they can shed the multiple layers of middle mgmt dead weight. Advice to the younger people, pay your dues and move on - this is no place to build a career and maintain your self respect...

If a culture cannot grow a business by new products and services, it's simply acquiring business and in most cases, HON destroys, then divest business as finance develops income statements based on restructuring.
