Oh stop already , you don’t like the way you are treated, then man up and change employment
I did in January 2023 , 4 cost of living increases , more holiday allowance than I know what to do with, earning more than I was at DXC

@2np I've not go a side hustle. But I sure do save a lot of money in not needing to employ a gardener, a window cleaner, or in taking my car to be washed any more. All of those chores get done comfortably whilst billing away to a WBS code. Nobody sees it spread across the week.
These people coming here just to talk about their imaginary side hustles are bizarre.
@280 Believe what you want! Not everything posted on here is complete bullsh-t. The assumption all DXC staff are lazy is totally wrong. DXC don't use my skillset. I've found a way to use my skills, and the flexibility to my own financial benefit. It's clearly the trade off DXC wants. Otherwise it would pay more and expect more.
@1xr "Like most at DXC. I already have a side hustle which tops up my under £50k salary nicely."
No you don't.
@1x3 Like most at DXC. I already have a side hustle which tops up my under £50k salary nicely. I am of an age and financial standing that I don't need the job at all anyway. But while they want to pay me to do my own thing. When the time comes I'll take my redundancy and ride off into the sunset. I don't need a high stress £100k, need to perform every day job. Not now. DXC devalued my self worth. But tought me not to blow every penny thinking there would always be more. For 10 years+ I've felt redundancy was coming. I've planned and saced. Yet here I still am.
@1t5 But DXC is a HUGE name. Big credible name. What if someone offered you a much higher salary over 100K GBP but with risks? I think I am happy with my stable £50K a year salary at DXC, don’t you?
I am quite happy with my 0% pay rises.
Please continue to give me 0% work.
Because 0% work means 0% stress - it's a fair trade off.
Stop expecting me to attend daily/weekly status updates to confirm I've done nothing. Stop sending pointless emails with some false sense of urgency that we all know if ignored will never be mentioned again.
And then we're all good.
Cushy job at 80K at DXC for life until retirement, WFH, and stable with an email here and there. Why would anyone want to leave?
My post got removed so I'll repeat it again.
Don't like it then quit
False dichotomy. Managers set the culture of the business, so don't be surprised that employees are checking out and doing the bare minimum. We are not responsible. Senior management is. Punish them instead.
@ag and I am man enough to post on LinkedIn. Posting here doesn't help you need to let the public know what is really happening
@ts Everyone here is already aware of the situation and have made their own decisions, whether that’s to leave or to stay yes I know, but stop bi--hing as it wont do any good.
You will NEVER EVER get a yearly merit pay increase. So chill and enjoy the pay for doing nothing
@vw Things must be really bad at DXC Technology Australia!!! Industrial action and strikes! Whats the new boss and management doing about this? Lose more customers and market confidence? What a mess!!
@vx I neither need or want a job. DXC is not a job. It's a contract to be available just in case the client still needs something that they think I used to know.
You left 3 years ago. Pretty much so did everyone else under 50 since then. In fact in spirit so did I along with most of my colleagues. But the money keeps coming so why change that just to appease you!
@ts I telling you all to be a grown up and look for another job like I did, they are out there
https://www.arnnet.com.au/article/4151472/dxc-staff-to-take-industrial-action-impacting-tech-services.html
DXC Technology Australia employees will move to protected industrial action following an overwhelming vote, after more than 14 months of failed enterprise agreement negotiations.
@ts DXC is NOT going to live RENT FREE in my head forevermore. They can pay for that privilege. I've logged in - I've read the email that somewhere in DXC someone is building something. But I can tell you now it's not where I'm sitting. I don't expect to get anything else in today. So as it's a nice day... I'll do a few things around the house and garden while keeping an eye on things. That's the role - if they want more - they can start giving pay rises.
@OP You left DXC three years ago and moved on to a new role, which is great. But you still seem to come back here regularly to tell others they need to stop and just quit.
Moving on should mean just that - putting the old employer well behind you.
Everyone here is already aware of the situation and have made their own decisions, whether that’s to leave or to stay.
Staying is not about loyalty or cannot do any better - it’s a practical choice. You can take a salary, manage your workload in my case to virtually nothing, and potentially benefit from a redundancy package down the line.
I do not want another job in corporate IT thank you, but while DXC wants to pay me to just login - carry on!
@ag what a a$$
@ep You are the problem , why DXC is losing clients. Grow a pair and change employment
And yet you’re here, checking in and writing self absorbed nonsense - bore off
I earn 100K+ with my side hustle. Nerds.
I do not know where you live, but in Europe one can not simply "leave" thanks to "awesome" labour codes. After giving notice we still have to work for another 2-3 months. And usually possible new employer won't wait so much time to fill a vacancy. Basically finding a job in Europe is mostly possible for unemployed, because they can start immediately.
you don’t like the way you are treated, then man up and change employment
Perhaps it's a reminder to yourself. Don't like what you're reading here? Then go elsewhere. You're not forced to be here.
WFR for me wasn't a choice.
I stayed, I was miserable, I felt trapped and badly treated.
Eventually, management got tired of trying to get me to leave.
It was a shock whenm I got the WFR call. I'm still getting over it BUT....
I did get another job. more money, less stress and less hours
Getting WFR was the only good thing that came out of DXC UK
Well done Raul for getting your raises since 2023.
Your on inflated pay you can't deliver growth. You need to be replaced.
"I did in January 2023"
"more holiday allowance than I know what to do with"
"earning more than I was at DXC"
It's a wonder you can pull yourself away from your bathroom mirror every morning...could you be any more self-absorbed?
Wow, super impressive! I'm sure many were actively wondering how you've been doing and now everyone can rest easy.
Thanks so much for the update and be sure to grab yourself a cookie.
