Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Class Action case against Oracle

Does any one going against Oracle for Class Action case ? I am interested in Joining/filing

  1. Mass In-Human Email based Layoff
  2. H1B retainment and Layoff US residents
  3. Severance issues
  4. Stock forfeiting

If any one has ARAG insurance, you can reach out lawyers with your insurance if you have subscribed for the service.

Please don't sign your severance docs quickly...

Thanks in advance

I personally took aria and bitbucket commits as example. Aria of me and h1b employee reporting to same manager and H1b doing same duties of bitbucket commits. I think this should suffice for pulling my management and the H1b employee to court.
I know the H1b employee has nothing to do here, but a case is a case.
Oracle has to prove now the reason of RIF of US Citizen instead of H1B.
Remember this is not a performance layoff, so US Residents have more to claim.

Why don’t you start one instead of waiting someone else to do so? Your lack of initiative was probably the reason why they let you go.

Wait for them to complete the process and commit ALL of their mistakes. Save your energy for good things.

You can't use your ARAG insurance to sue Oracle (read the plan docs).

H1Bs were laid off. The only question would be how many. And this is not Oracle's first rodeo, there is a 100% chance they ran the numbers through a team of excellent lawyers to ensure whatever they did was legally compliant (% H1B, % women, % PoC, % over 40, etc.).

There's no case here.

OP out of your list the only thing that may be illegal would be h1b over aUS citizens and that would be hard to prove. The rest of the items are not illegal they are just not favorable to the employees who were let go. Why waste your time and money?

ARAG plan doesn't cover employment related issues.
