What is this? Is this new? Do they actually get laid off?

I was told in Q1 last year that I would likely be laid off in Q4 2025 and it did not happen.
@df Not enough time in this lifetime or anyone else's. This place has alot to answer for on the other side. no way i could sleep at night. im a former and MY GOD did life become SO much better afterward. You absolutely do not realize the toll it has taken on your body, mind, soul and family until you are going through the detachment & detox phase and coming out the other side. 6 months minimum.
@df I hope you suddenly developed a raging case of the flu and had to call off sick. Never train your replacement unless you're leaving voluntarily. The business thinks they can do without you, let them!

I was laid off Tuesday. I was told a week prior that it was happening to me. The pre-notice was given so I could quickly train someone and transition my huge workload to them before losing access.
