Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Layoff total

Does anyone know the extent of layoffs that happened in the last few days? Was there any layoffs today also?

Different people are reporting differently. I’d appreciate if anyone has analyzed this and can share their findings. Someone is maintaining a running total from Slack (Thanks a ton!), and that says about 12,000 people were let go.

Terrible to hear about layoffs and see our coworkers let go. I hope this madness stops soon so we can focus on work. Tired of being on the edge for the last 6 months. Thanks!

11k in the last 2 days. Hard to say for sure, but that should have exhausted the remaining $1.1B monies set aside for restructuring in FY26. Watch out for the 10K filing in June for FY27. Fun begins all over again in Sept.

Only from what I've read online from different news sources: 12K in India, 30K total world wide. Not sure Oracle has revealed a total and breakdown to anyone yet though.

I've been through this process at other tech companies, but at least all fired meet with HR and a manager from our group. An e-mail at 6 AM is a really, really heartless way to do it.
