Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Y’all still want to sell HON? Read this…

“Elliott Management quietly assembling a multi-billion dollar war chest with a shadow partner ahead of a major industrial breakup?”

Hearing louder whispers that Elliott isn’t just taking a position. they’re potentially teaming up with a low-profile investment firm to build a massive stake ahead of a split, with the endgame being far bigger than activism. The talk is that this could set up a strategic play to partner with (or even acquire alongside) another industrial heavyweight once the pieces are separated.

Still all speculation…no filings, no confirmations. But if even half true, this isn’t just a trade… it’s positioning for a full-scale industrial reshaping.

They didn’t believe me when I was making these statements. He’ll make his money and you’ll emerge with somebody and be relocated. If not relocated, they’ll get rid of the old culture.

If we file bankruptcy in the process, they don’t really care. So there’s a certain amount of money where the stock will go, and then I’m gonna sell.

Elliot has already moved on to the next deal. They made their money in back room payouts and leverage unrelated to anything printed on a 10k.. grow up and understand nobody spends 5B unless the outcome is already known. Elliot has already removed all risk.

Please no Rockwell. Some former SPS leaders are there as C level executives and they are the ones that only played politics at HON under DA and JW while accomplishing nothing.

@ev JCI would merge with BA. I don't think JCI has anything on industrial

JCI is bigger than Honeywell and they are positioned for growth. Flip-side Hon is positioned for separation, that is why you have all these rookie SBG management teams.

Some of the smart cookies that used to frequent this board a few years back claimed that Honeywell was set to be dismantled and layed it out. They were sneered at. Everything they set out has become true. Whilst heavily damaged the Honeywell name still has some value, frankly I see less of a merger but further dissection of the Automation businesses. Perhaps then a buyout of BA keeping the Honeywell brand name? Either way lots more pain to come, that is a guarantee.

I still can't understand why we have 3 business units, BA, IA and PA/PT. I can't understand why PA and PT are not part of IA, those are industrial I would think, PA/PT as far as I know do not offer anything for commercial buildings, like BA.
