I’ve been here for over a decade, and I’d be lying if I said it was all bad. There were good times too, even if the bad has been more prominent in recent years. I’ll miss my coworkers, and I’m hoping we’ll still grab a drink now and then. I’m ready to move on. Good luck to everyone else, I hope life treats you well.

They treated me really well in Sept with all the money actually an entire pay check more than expected.... I had a job lined up because I got a wink it was going to happen so I was already in the final stages of my hire process so got to bank all of my
severance. thats what happens when you are in good with those in the know.
turns out i would be my old bosses boss now. it is true they pay more elsewhere
I think the gods and goddesses that I was booted in sept instead of now good luck the market for jobs is going to be cut throat.
Being laid off by Oracle is a blessing. Take the money and run. L only cares about building a legacy not people. I’m sure there will be a speech soon about the agony of
making such a heart wrenching decision. Followed by a maniacal laugh. God speed to all who believed they worked for greater cause and their dedication was appreciated. Sadly lies are used more than truth these days.
Same here… little early for retirement but severance is a great way to sail into the next chapter.
For the most part I loved my job at Oracle and it was a great place with folks I truly enjoyed working with.
Good luck to everyone whether you are moving on or staying!!
I hear ya. This will put me off into retirement and I would much rather have the severance than a goodbye party. Most of the people I would want to see on my last day are already gone anyway. A new chapter has just begun. Positive thoughts to all who were affected. Keep your eyes on the horizon.
You will be lucky if your ex-,, coworkers contact you as most things layoffs are contagious.
Good luck to you too. I hope you land a new job soon!
