Thread regarding HP (Hewlett-Packard) layoffs

All the things wrong

Awful leadership
Open favoritism
You can forget about coaching or career development
You’re treated as a number and replaceable
Pay and benefits are subpar
Little to no accountability
And so on...

Please don't forget about the outward facing problems caused by corporate enshi_ttification due to greed, arrogance, and the elevation of profit over product.

HP's printing business is a structural decline characterized by falling hardware shipments. Total hardware units dropped 6% (with Consumer down 8% and Commercial down 12%). Supplies revenue fell 1%. HP maintains profitability via subscription models. Due to print market softness and input cost inflation, HP is executing a multiyear restructuring plan involving 4,000 to 6,000 job cuts.

I go elsewhere, now, for PCs, printers, and peripherals and I know I'm no alone.
