After they cut so many people, the team dynamics are completely different. Nobody really collaborates anymore, everyone just sticks to their own stuff, at least in my area. The shared ownership we used to have is gone. It's changed how we all interact and not for the better. It's just a completely different company these days.

@s4 Yes, do tell. It's still one of the most successful real estate businesses in the world, and they serve food too!
Oops! So LBT's argument that RTO would increase collaboration was a fluke? 🙂 That's what I call strategic leadership at its best!
@m8, when did McDonald's fail?
Sad situation. They all have to work on what is best for their own Rewards as opposed to what is best for the company. Not the Intel I remember where doing what was best for the company gave the Rewards
Many have a don't care attitude.
Stick to one's own cube, do the minimum and don't help anyone else.
It's the same with many in management.
All great companies fail sooner or later: Digital, Westinghouse, Sears, McDonalds .....
When the founders die, the MBAs and Lawyers take over and squeeze the last dollar out of a business.
Move on!
Shared ownership = other party takes all the credit when things go right, and throws you under the bus when things go wrong. Especially the Indian teams.
@fa Most ICs (now) are the middle managers who should have lost their jobs in the last CPM. Everyone saw the WARN list of titles at each location. We know why they are hiding.
People don’t share information bc that’s how you end up losing your job. Culture is not conducive to being collaborative except for in fake discussions.
The unfortunate truth is that sharing knowledge or ownership of a project just puts a bigger target on your back when the next round of CPMs happen. I won't blame anyone for looking out for themselves.
Blame management for instilling this culture of self-preservation into each and every employee.
Yep; can’t even get access to shared file spaces in a reasonable amount of time
@bc you can hardly approach ICs now
Scared shitless Intel engineers are too busy competing with each other for survival rather than focus on competing with AMD or nVidia. This is a result of the culture management has deliberately fostered over the last couple decades. Impossible to reverse now.
@b5 Those coffee badgers gotta make sure they do they rounds and high five as many people as they can!
Well Thank god i dont ever have to suffer id--ts like those found in intel
if there are some at least they're billionaires
This just means that the quality of individual tasks, solutions, and components will be the highest it has ever been.
Intel is not the same like it used to be.
It was good company, now its bad company.
No wonder why so many took VSP many rounds before, only the useless peoples stay at intel.
Have a nice day
It is a shi t eating competition nowaday because they are falling behind in any competition from the past.
@ar
Nope, just look at Nvidia. They collaborate just like Intel used to in days past when anyone with a good idea could approach the CEO; when hard issues were discussed at the top level of management. People like Noyce, Moore and Grove encouraged idea sharing and open doors. They were highly driven individuals but if you were pushing a broom and had a good idea, the door was always open.
It's A Dog Eat Dog World. Everybody looking out for themselves.
The only innovation happening is how to coffee badge an not get caught.
Leaders that understand real innovation, know that it doesn’t come from environments and cultures like the one here….
