Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Silos

Pepsi has moved to an extreme silo model, more so than ever. I believe this is what is really taking its toll on employees. From the front line to the directors, there is evident frustration across all levels. Not only do you have the customer pressure, but our internal pressures create a lose lose environment. This is likely by design and don’t expect things to get better any time soon for employees of Pepsi.

This is mainly due to a disconnect between the front line and the directors! Info does not make it to the frontline, it dies at the director level! Too much of the we are above it all mentality at the top!

This is an accurate representation of the company evolution over the last year. Consolidation has lead to more pressure and workload on those closest to the customer while the company is asking for more productivity. We could be a great company, but we are simply a short term earnings organization. Onto the quarter my friends!
