Thread regarding L3Harris Technologies layoffs

Why Manager keep following laid off employees on LinkedIn

I’ve noticed that some people from the company continue to follow and monitor our LinkedIn profiles even after we were laid off and have moved on to new and better opportunities.

If you see that someone has landed a new role, a simple “congratulations” would be more appropriate than checking profiles, sharing posts internally, or gossiping about them.

For those who may not be aware, LinkedIn Premium allows users to see who is viewing their profile. It’s easy to notice repeated views. I could easily identify several individuals who have been checking my profile regularly.

Being laid off ultimately opened the door to better opportunities for many of us, and I’m grateful for where that journey has taken me. Sometimes what seems like a setback turns out to be the best thing that could happen.

Almost EVERY profile posted on that site from people who worked or still work in Clifton is fake. The names are real and the pictures are real but the rest of the profile is full of fake job titles like "senior manufacturing engineer" (no degree😂) or "senior operations supervisor" , " Lab Manager" and "project coordinator". Quite a list of accomplishments for people who never completed a single college course or even a single semester. Is it like that at other sites or is it unique to clifton?

@1xr - If my former supervisor even ATTEMPTED to contact me about ANYTHING I would tell her to go p*ss up a rope (but not that nicely).

They want to see if you land a job at a better organization than L3H and then hit you up for job openings at your new organization!

I still get calls from salespeople trying to get their foot in the door at L3. I just give them my old snakey, micromanaging supervisor's name and personal cell phone number.

@b5 my favorite is when they add a word like
" senior" in front of their fake job title. The reason managers are checking the LinkedIn profiles of those departed, is to see how much they lied about the job title they had at L3 harris. They actually take bets. About 80% of them are completely fake. Sometimes they might discreetly reach out to your new employer and drop that tu-d in somebody's ear.

@b5 100%. I see it all the time. Lot's of "Linkedin Engineers" that I ask "what do you actually do at L3H". I see the same few people posting a lot of networking events, ERG events and trade shows.

Jealousy is ki-ling them because you landed in a better place and they are stuck at their jobs.

@OP that site is mostly false information anyway. Made up job titles and phony accomplishments . Take a look at some of your colleagues. Some of them have given themselves job titles that don't even exist.
