What did everyone get? I department got Donuts and coffee.

We got some nasty snacks and canned water from the on-site catering.. I still have no idea why we use that catering group. Nobody took any of the waters. I’m not sure what’s more wasteful.. letting the catering department take all the waters that we paid for, or just getting regular bottles of water. The people actually would drink.
We got a GrubHub credit, which was awesome until I realized the $15 was consumed by fees and gratuity so I had about $8 to spend on lunch haha! But I do understand that the people who actually have to plan this stuff work hard to try and make it nice for us so I’m grateful and will show t in my survey… they did their best with the budget they are allowed to spend, which is pretty tight lately.
We got arbitrary restrictions on WFH
So…is there a thing called employee appreciation day? Was it just a one day thing, and when was it? I never heard it mentioned.
We got an email to say fill out cards in the breakroom. The Employee Appreciation sign had fallen down over the table with the cards.
I did not hear anything about employee appreciation. It was not mentioned in my office in NYC. When did this happen?
A bunch of cheap pizzas. They over-ordered by many dozens and after telling people they could take pizza home, the Indians descended on them like sea gulls after french fries. Many were taking entire boxes and some even took two full boxes.
Boxes of stale dried snacks from another celebration 6 months ago.
