NFL Ticket

DTV will be see a substantial fall in subscribers with the elimination of the NFL ticket. Dish might pick up what’s left at a bargain basement price!!

AT&T stills owns about 70% of DTV. So when DTV losses money so does AT&T. Losing 10-15% of their customers would be very bad for DTV and AT&T!

The main reason to split off DTV is at some point to merge with Dish. Satellite radio had the same issue xm/sirius . Part if the issue will be Charles Ergen. ATT needs to split off the copper / old services.

First off DIRECTV was planning to not renew the bloated NFL Sunday Ticket for over a year now, this has been reported in the media so it shouldn’t be a surprise. Second, DIRECTV has never turned a profit off Sunday Ticket. Third, only 10-15% of DIRECTV customers subscribed to Sunday Ticket on average. This is a huge burden off the back of DIRECTV and only a good thing. Who cares if the 10-15% dish based customers who had Sunday ticket cancel? No one because new customers are signing up to replace them using the profitable DIRECTV stream service which doesn’t require a dish, technician, and a ton of equipment installed in the house.

Some clueless mo-o didn't get the memo that DTV isn't part of T anymore. Sounds like the average DTV employee.
