What are the thoughts behind this transition? Do you think this is go move or bad move? What are the rumors on how quota is going to be and if we are getting a comp increase decrease or change to salary? Just any more information about this transition would be appreciated. Crazy times right now at Verizon.

This will fail MISERABLY and the R2B reps will be blamed. THERE IS NO TRAINING! ONLINE VIDEOS AND CLASSES ARE NOT HOW YOU TRAIN DOOR TO DOOR!!! NEVER HAS BEEN AND NEVER WILL BE. YOU PAIR NEW HIRES WITH VETERANS TO GO OUT FOR 30 DAYS AND LEARN BY OBSERVATION AND ATTEMPTS/CRITIQUES. This is being handled and attempted with spectacular carelessness.
This is going to completely gut R2B sales and the stores will steal all our business customers. Flood is clueless and full of himself. Time to find a new job!
@bc some of them can outsell b2b. Some not. I’ve supported 2 very very large territories as an MSA.
1-2 people from each team carries the rest of the team. B2B thinks R2B is a-s. R2B hears all the poor business practices from B2Bs base when they come into the store.
R2B as a whole cannot balance the store demands and hunting a base.
There is also NO formal standard from leadership and they will not inspect behaviors. SFDC hygiene is bad. It’s been mismanaged since its birth.
Most of the people that are transitioning from a store to a territory will not survive. They were hired into that job to be people facing. It has nothing to do with B2B vs R2B it’s a different type of person works alone.
R2B already want Verizon and are in need.... B2B is a different animal. Get ready for crash and burn.
So I’m in R2B and I just don’t get where the arrogance is coming from with the entire R2B org for some reason having this notion they can outsell B2B. Majority of us don’t even have the first clue on how to run a proper meeting no offense since we are so used to navigating super small deals and helping customers at the store and moving on to the next store customer. Especially in regards to cold prospecting new logos like I don’t get where anyone thinks that we somehow have more of a skill set suited for that over B2B when that is literally what b2b does day in and day out. I feel 70% of the r2b org doesn’t have the first clue how to prospect without store support. Again I’m r2b……I think a lot of my peers will be in for a rude awakening and it’s going to much more difficult than everyone realizes. Anyone else?
