I am hearing from multiple sources that half of FOS was RIF'd along with over 600 developers between the FIS banking core systems.

@bk half of the managers have taken off this week
@bm from what I hear, the core devs were let go completely and with FOS I have heard its a mix.
@OP RIF'd or rebadged? Rebadge seems more common from where I am.
Developers and DBAs are hit too, badly. And its all a mess how they've communicated this. Worst part is my manager couldn't even be bothered to deliver the message as hes enjoying a luxurious vacation at the moment. Coward.
@ah it will be fascinating to see how these 'transitioned' staff will continue to support 40+ yr old legacy systems and applications - which are held together with chewing gum and prayers by oldtimers with deep knowledge. Management utterly clueless.
So, all of the people with skills to improve FIS own, ancient systems? Gonna hang on to those dinosaurs. Executives don't have to use them. The clanking of the gears can be heard while attempting to process...anything. Clients don't mind waiting at all. Wait, there are clients left?
@a5 Fidelity Output Solutions; they work on printing items for banks from what I have been told.
@a5 FOS was hit. Implementations team - 16 layed off, 6 rebadged.
FOS?
@a2 I've heard that Systematics/Profile and MBP developers have all been hit, including QA resources from all three systems as well.
word is all of them, including IBS and Horizon.
Which FIS banking core systems teams were affected?
