Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Praying for a package

I've been through the entire cycle of emotions. Denial, anger, trying to negotiate with myself, depression, and now I'm finally at acceptance. I've landed at the point where a severance feels like the best possible outcome. I'm actually ready for it now.

Maybe they can relocate corp south to somewhere in india, think of how much they could save with a fully offshored corporate!

We probably need half of our workforce at a fraction of the cost. As my exec told our team - buckle up for the ride.

The package will be like 1 month pay, barely enough to do anything with.

@cp yummy!Figuring out bundling would be difficult. I think we certainly give a free chalupa for every new and renewal.

Yeah they seem to be converting all entry level work to offshore. That should work out great in 5-10 years when they need people at non entry level and theres no one to promote. Yes i fully understand they start with BPOs doing entry level, then use the lack of entry level americans to justify promoting BPOs to professional roles.

I remember, what 6 months ago hearing from leadership theyll never use BPOs to replace people, only supplement short term needs. Looks like that was just typical leadership gaslighting.

Fire ILR is outsourced, Click to Chat, Underwriting in the first round. 2 more years of “realignment.”

If you do t get a package maybe you can work in an agents office. Apparently we are going to sell chalupas from Taco Bell there bundled with insurance products.

Ive been gone from State Farm for well over 10 years in retirement. I went to a SF gig today. I drove away laughing because it was so full of KOOL AID drunks who believe State Farm has never made mistakes and how much better they are than anyone else in the company. Made me realize I no longer fit in with the BS.

Adapt and change. What a joke. To adapt and change to the new culture I'd have to die my hair blue, pierce my nose, and sc--w up every claim I touch.
