Well folks, My team at T has been losing staff like dominos. No one got fired but they voluntarily chose to not do RTO and retire. Some did RTO and retired. I liked ATT for the people and the culture. I see the people I work with leaving and the culture dying. I am mid 40s and still got a long time for retirement. That loner feeling is kicking in me as I work virtual and not sure whether to stay or leave.
What to do?
Go work for Accenture. They might make you sit on a bench for six months before they can "return" you to T. You'll make double or triple and like it much more because you won't have to deal with the employee stress.
try Walters org…. they seem to have a lot of money to spend — when the many management L1-L4 can’t do their jobs they outsource to Accenture and don’t have to cut internals.
Lots of money being spent on systems and Legg’s team has no idea … thinks they own systems… no cuts from that org, try to find an opening and you’re good. no surplus yet or scheduled

Life at T is not going to get any better in the near future. Stank will continue to decimate the company. That said, it used to be a great place to work, but isn’t so any longer. If I were in your shoes ( and I am to a certain extent) start looking! You are much better off looking for a job while you have an income , than trying to find a job while unemployed. Yeah, you’ll get a severance when your # comes up, but that money won’t last forever and the job market isn’t that great right now. Good luck with your participation in The Hunger Games!
