Voluntary Offer

Someone said there were rumors of a voluntary buyout, any truth to this? Timing?

The last one I was aware of was 2021. Not sure why they haven't done one since, but it seems to have fallen out of favor.

Yes! You get to choose the caliber of the round.

@2fv The answer is that when a large enough contingent of the Friends and Family gang want a buy out to ease them into retirement, there will be voluntaries. Watch closely, the game is always rigged by the FnF

Why the F would they offer voluntary when they have been getting away with firing people left and right in the name of layoffs. Executives made poor decisions but are never held accountable. Farleys electric push cost the company billions and now he is getting a raise? This should be the question to ask at a town hall.

@OP

No timing. Just whenever you get your PIP.

The voluntary offer is the VSSP that you get with the PIP. You can either take the severance and leave or take the PIP and hope they don't cut you with no severance when they say you didnt improve.

You know what a voluntary offer is? You give a 2 weeks notice offer.

@c9 That's quite a perk, Ford gives people the raw end of the stick so often they must buy it in bulk.

Truth? ABSOLUTELY. A free tube of KY Jelly for you own personal use is included.

@OP I doubt it... The company spent a lot of time making sure that it can lay off people with PIPs. There is no need for buyouts.

I heard from a neighbor’s friend’s cousin that there are rumors of a possible chance of a whim that there might be voluntary separation offers, but they’re not quite sure if it will happen.
