There is rumour that few VPs knows that their team is safe

Is it true, then list is finalized.. layoffs may start from Tuesday

If 20% get laid off that still leaves 80% that are still employed. Why would it be surprising that some teams doing relevant work are untouched.

Yes, some teams close to AI centered initiatives are believed to be more safe. Not immune to layoffs, just safer.

@ak I am OP, few people at the VP level know that their teams are safe. Means nobody from their team is getting fired

@ae because there are clearly 2 different interpretations:

  • it could mean that very few people even at the VP level know whether their teams are safe. Which would indicate the decisions are only known at a level about VP

  • another interpretation could mean that a few people at the VP level know that their teams are safe

@a1 I can't speak for you, but I'm sure MY command of OP's original language isn't as good as OP's of English. Did the post actually need to be made? I don't think so but they posted it. I give it a shrug, but I don't get picking on their syntax.
