@cp that offshore worker is 1/6 as productive for that 1/3 the cost. All they do is pad numbers with a ton of busywork. But don't take my word for it. I'm just the guy who pulls reports every month showing them solving nearly 40% of their tickets with "No Error Found".

That gravy train is starting to reach the end of the line, and they're going to be forced to do actual work.

You don’t really get it. If you can do your job remotely that guy in India can do it for 1/3 the cost. Nobody is irreplaceable

We've finally hit the point where the do nothing kooks have equated being required to come to work 3 days a week with p--ophilia. No wonder WF wants to get rid of so many of you.

Commuting and sitting in a building isn't work. Not even close to being in my list of deliverables. It does get in the way of work, that's about it.

@a7 But, but, but you might get all of your work done and run an errand on company time if you’re working at home. Without you here, we can’t see that you’re truly giving us every minute of your 8 hours.

In the early 2000s, one of my coworkers researched and proved that it was more profitable/less expensive for the company to have him work from home than to maintain office space for him. It didn't matter, the company wanted him on-site even though all he did was sit alone, in a room and not talk to anyone in person.

The one time the bank would rather spend money than be more efficient. It's never been about anything but control.

Aside from that, let employees work from home as long as they get their work done on time and correctly. As a 20+ year employee, it’s the one thing everyone for years wanted and they kept gaslighting us until COVID hit and was forced to let us work from home. And when employees proved they can actually be successful working remote, it freaked management out because they want nothing more than to have control over us…like a bunch of pedos.

We have plenty of oil in the USA. Quit complaining and just go in to the office.
