I stopped caring about this job a long time ago. At this point, the only thing I want from them is a severance check. This company isn't worth my stress, my sleep, or my health. They don't get to take that from me too.

@ch making a job that could care less about you your entire identity in 2026 is wild
They will try to rapidly replace employees with AI agents and they will fail like always. Security and other processes dont allow Oracle to move fast on anything. Including implementing something as big as AI. Exec will not understand this and scream like babies that no one is working fast enough, while issuing constant baby threats. I'd love a severance at this point.
@OP is a pinhead.
@da Just like how last tear's RIF came out of nowhere, so too will this year's RIF.
It's also possible that O could switch to the "forever layoff" model and just steadily bleed employees on a weekly basis, which draws little attention.
@d3 it's the Internet, most of it isn't legit. Coming here for real information isn't a great idea.
how do trolls prevent people from sharing legit information?
They put so much fake info on here, it's getting harder to trust anything posted or pick out when something is legit.
@ch Not going anywhere until they give me my severance.
@cj do you believe the OP is an example of the Oracle Doormat Principle?
This is really turning into a site dominated by people with victim syndrome. If you didn't like the conditions you should have left. No one owes you a job. OP, my guess is that you became obsolete and irrelevant due to years of not improving your skills. The only thing you are a victim of is your own bad decisions. Deal with it because no one else cares.
Really tired of crybabies like @OP. They complain about their jobs day after day, do zero work, yet they happily take the paycheck they get. There are tons of former Oracle employees who were whacked last year, who are STILL trying to find another job, who would love the paycheck that lazy little @OP is getting.
Hope that Oracle does the right thing and roots out and RIFs corporate slugs like @OP.
Please note the person who posted this thread is a looser who got fired last time. Trolling for nothing. Creating fake news for attention. Find a job please.
@OP
Like many approaching the 30 year mark, I’d been in ‘run out the clock’ mode for quite a while. My clock ran out last fall. Ironically, it did make it a little more palatable to constantly apologize to clients for our product shortcomings. Perhaps decades of inconsequential focal reviews and very little financial incentive just wear one down. In hindsight longevity was the only real achievement…
I've been here for too many years. I recently changed orgs (from OCI to DB org) and I have to say it is very similar, feels we are stuck in the past. The worst part tbh is the lack of care for workers or making the place better.
I read somewhere ... you are not fired from a prison, you get released ... and that stuck with me, I know the outside is terribly hard these days, but maybe that is better than being depressed+stuck here with just pressure+no-recognition+no-benefits?
@am how do trolls prevent people from sharing legit information? If you have valid information then share it and scr-ew the trolls. Trolls are just a part of life, they only matter if you let them bother you.
@aj- The place has become so lousy, we need a site like this to vent. Since there are so many trolls on here spreading disinformation, it's no good to share legit rumor info so we might as well use it as a support group.
If you really were indifferent you wouldnt be posting here seeking validation
You took a great decision and will feel happy once you will be out of Oracle which is run by high school pass no brainer executive
