my god, so much anxiety in people's heads over layoffs. It will happen at some point, whether you like it or not. Just go get therapy and stop giving those managers at Nike power over you. So what if you get laid off? You can do some Uber Eats and still pay your bills. Lots of restaurants out there where you can work as a waiter. Even the tech market is picking up right now. Lots of opportunities out there in tech or outside. The whole thing is for you to sleep well at night and feel empowered, not powerless, in the hands of your managers at Nike. At this point, Uber Eats sounds like a much better option than a biased, toxic place, full of all the isms out there that treat people with so much disrespect and like disposable garbage after you have done so much for them.

this is actually a genius read: "The only reason it won’t be over Spring Break is bc they want people to burn down the PTO so they don’t have to pay it out.”

never thought of that one.

Having lived through several of these....will likely be after spring break and before the end of FY.

I don't know why spring break would matter at all, not to mention spring break timing is totally regional and lots of remote people living who knows where.

It's likely next week or the week after or both, and wouldn't be surprised if there was another round in Q4

Anyone's guess as to what orgs go soon vs later, GT soon, likely, then other parts of org later, or more GT later, who knows, no one knows, no one saying anything, we're all just waiting

meanwhile 2026 continues to have big layoffs

not great!

They way I see it layoffs can be done just after spring break during the week of Q3 announcement. Market usually accepts layoffs news positively and it's just in time to wrap up the two months on payroll before new fiscal year starts in June. If not last week of March then it may be end of April or early May.

They won't do it in 2 weeks because they will announce the results for Q3 on March 31st

Ever since pending layoffs have been announced, you have had ALL of spring as a break already. Your privileged kids will get over it.
