I’m going to say it happens. Unfortunately, the people who do the least amount of work seem to secure other opportunities and stick around. It’s what makes MOH what it is today. Lost some good ones recently like our CIO

I'm gonna say yes because my department just acquired some folks from another department and although they've been in their last position for several hundred years, they haven't got ola clue so I feel they were shuffled around to prevent them from being laid off or it was their last ditch effort before they get let go.

This isn't a rare occurrence, at least at the MHI level. I've known several employee's over the years that transitioned to other roles when similar circumstances occurred. If a position exist that your qualified for, then it's very possible depending on the situation.
